Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana alongside numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Latest Free Story Update
This release also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
